The apartment is situated in the Rambla area, the most cosmopolitan street of Barcelona. “La Rambla”, a two kilometre picturesque avenue, decorated along its way with small flower and animal stalls, news paper stands and street artists showing there skills, stretches out from the famous “Plaza Catalunya” to the port of Barcelona. Along the way you will find the famous food market “La Boqueria”, the beautiful “Liceu “theatre, the impressive “Palau Güell” designed by Antonio Gaudi, or “Real Square” with his famous decorated lanterns by Gaudi. At the end, pointing out at sea, the wonderful statue of “Christopher Columbus”. A few steps away you will find the Maritime Museum, situated in the old dock, dating from the middle ages. Impressively contrasted, the new “Maremagnum” complex, a location with plenty of bars, restaurants and discotheques, also accommodation of the magnificent Barcelona “Aquarium” and the “IMAX” cinema. Not far away you will find the “Mediterranean Sea”, occupying with its six centric beaches, in total 4, 2 kilometres of territory. From a tourist point of view, the historical centre of the city, with his small medieval streets, bars, terraces and restaurants, is probably the most interesting district of Barcelona.
