The apartment is located at the Barceloneta, which used to be a fishermen’s neighborhood and was built in the 18th century over past sea lands that housed the city’s old port in the 15th century. Belonging to Barcelona’s Ciutat Vella district, this area is very well known for its variety of harbour’s sea food restaurants, that you will find along a boulevard that connects Barcelona’s six centric beaches, starting from the old port (Port Vell), all the way down to the modern Villa Olímpica.

Anonymous: 18/02/2008; I liked the location - not being a hotel area. Close to the city and the beach. And quiet in the night.

Anonymous: 03/02/2008; Barceloneta B was ideally placed for the Old City, the Beach, the seafood restaurants and the cable car to Montjuic. The neighbourhood felt "genuine" but safe, there were plenty of little shops - for early morning bread, etc. - and the market close at hand for fresh produce, particularly fish. The beaches were just down the road, and there was even a table tennis table in the market square - we played at 10.00 pm very happily. Although one of the beds wasn t too comfortable, all in all, we would recommend the apartment highly.
