Katie: 29/03/2011; The apartment location was amazing. Just off the Ramblas, minutes from Liceu and Catalunya Metro stops yet in a really secure, safe and quiet street.

It has all the amenities you need for staying in the city, except an oven (but you can live without that for a week!). Best thing for self catering was that there was a large supermarket 2mins away on the Ramblas and a smaller corner shop just outside the front gate to the road.

We were met at the apartment and the checking in process was fine (15EUR fee).

Something to bear in mind if you had 4 people sharing, is that the en suite shower room is off the twin bedroom. Also when we arrived the bed covers were feather so make sure you let them know if you have allergies.

Anna: 06/07/2011; Location of the apartment is perfect: next to old city center and close to subway, bus from the airport and other transports. A little further (about 10-15 minutes by public, 0.5 hours on foot) to the beach. Equipment od the falt is sufficient and nice. Apartment was in a very quiet and safe street, which are only accessible to people who live there.

An air conditioner helps keeping the apartment cool during summer.
In addition, the contact between the contact persons and us was very good, kind and helpful.

Only two negative remarks: there were no wine glasses (an essential on vacation) in the kitchen that is only minimaly equiped and it is diffucult to profit from the nice terrace as it is not well furnished.

The location is superb - 30 meters and you are standing on Rambla, another 50 meters and there is an entrance to Drassanes subway station. And nevertheless the flat is perfectly quiet although being very close to noisy touristic area.
All amenities work ok (however did not have a chance to use a washing machine), the apartment itself is clean and cute and looks just the same as fotos presented on website do show. Well equipped - lots of tablewhare in the kitchen and very spacios wardrobe suitable for fitting any number of clothes/baggage you have.
Overall highly recommended.

Victoria Duncan: 06/07/2011; The apartment was in a great location, close to metro, all the different districts were walkable and we had no real need to get taxis. The apartment was nice and clean, loads of wardrobe space but it did get a bit hot as air conditioning wasnt great but two fans helped us sleep at night. I would definitely stay in this apartment again if returning to Barcelona! Amazing city with so much to do!

Anonymous: 14/05/2008; Positive: well equipped living and kitchen, 2 bedrooms, spacious enough, nice small balcony with side view on Rambla near Plaza Catalunya... clean, good furniture, nice location, perfect receipt. Only 3 minor details: 1. fire escape in this building except for the roof ? 2. noisy neighbourhood... noise comes into the bedrooms from the street, even at 3 stories high (people going out till early morning hours... no problem for me and our baby but maybe for light sleepers). 3. No direct sunlight into appartment (the way the Spanish like it, but do you?). All in all very good value for money and good service from Maria! Michael from Holland

jack and carol: 05/11/2008; Wonderful stay at Rambla D for 6 nights. Location was ideal and that is very important to us when we travel. Apartment was roomy and very clean. Noisy at night, yes, very, but with earplugs no problem at all. Maria made our arrival and access to the apartment a very smooth process and she was very generous with her time and explained much to us and answered a lot of questions...she couldn t have been more welcoming...she is a sweetheart.
We do wish that we could have prepaid the entire amount for our stay with a credit card or paypal...needing to arrive with so much cash in hand is very inconvenient when traveling. It would also have been nice had there been a hair dryer. Bottom line is however that we highly recommend this apartment as well as this rental agency. Jack and Carol in Austin, TX

Gunnar Persson: 04/01/2012; Perfect location and 2 balcony with Rambla view. Apartment is good and big for up to 4 persons. There is what you need and everyting is clean. You are in the middle of centre and its safe and a small lift (you have to close the inside doors). We stayed for 6 days in Rambla D (21-26/12) 3 persons and we could check out late (17.00) without extra costs. Thanks a lot Pol.
We are very satisfield with our stay and would chose the apartment again.

The location was perfect for our stay as we were predominately based around the city centre for the week so it was a ideal, although a little noisy at night which is to be expected with a central location. The apartment was well furnished although a proper toaster would have been appreciated and there was definitely not enough hot water for 4 people to shower in the morning. However, overall a very nice apartment and highly recommended!

Nicola Barbieri: 13/06/2008; The apartment is located near the center of the Rambla (Metro stop) and near the Boqueria market in the historical center of the city.
Anything needed can be purchased in many shops just under the apartments. Only you need to carry an hair-dryer.
Located in a good position for cultural purposes and for entertainement.
A little noise in the street during the night.
Important: only payment parkings if you arrive by car (25- 30 euros for day).

if you come by car you need to find a parking as soon as you arrived because the police is next to the apartement and will bring your car in 20 min if you leave it in a wrong place!

Anonymous: 22/07/2008; The location is perfect, about a 3 minutes walk from Las Ramblas and the Liceu metro station. Sant Pau street is very cool and even has some shops and restaurants that are definitly not touristic.

The configuration of the appartment itself is also very appropriate. Everything is sparkling clean (brand new?). We had some friends who also rented an appartment come over and they were pretty jealous.

It might be a problem if you have a light sleep since there s people partying in the street and screaming pretty much all night long, but since you will probably be partying yourself and falling like a rock when you get to sleep, that shouldn t be a problem. It is very manageable.

Anonymous: 17/02/2010; Very nice flat - clean and modern, with a well equiped kitchen. Free ADSL in the flat too. The location at Rocafort is great; its only 15 minutes walk or 2 metro stops from Universitat, which is basically the heart of the city and the flat is far enough away from the centre to feel safe from pickpockets etc and the noise associated with areas like the Raval and Barrio Gotic. Highly recommended.

For the price it was very comfortable and spacious - could easily sleep 6. Everything we needed (kitchen utensils, bed linen, fans, irons) were all provided. Would definitely recommend it!

Using walking and/or metro we easily saw Barcelona from Parc Guell in the North to Barceloneta on the sea in the span of one day. The bed was extremely comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Upon arrival we purchased a nice cava from the wine shop downstairs and enjoyed it on the balcony as a perfect start to our Barcelona vacation. Highly recommended!

Overall it was not far from public transports and it is in a safe part of town where you can find everything you need. Everyone in LodgingBCN was really nice, so i just have to say that this was my best time in BCN. Hope to get back soon.

The shower drain was also very slow so regular checking would be beneficial. Air conditioning (or lack of ) was a bigger issue this year and would most likely be the main reason for not choosing this apartment again in summer. Overall god experience and i would look at Lodging in Barcelona again next year as i plan on returning.

Landmark for getting there- unit is one short block from the Picasso Museum off Avenida Princessa. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The only downside was there there is very little light coming in to the apartment no matter how many windows you opened you couldnt get much light and the lighting in the house wasnt bright enough or there werent enough lights to counter this. BUT overall we had an excellent stay and the accomodation was beautiful!

Brittany: 30/06/2009; This was a great little apartment in a quiet area in Barcelona. We rented it for four nights in order to use the kitchen for our stay. The apartment itself is very cute and cozy, and the air conditioner worked very well. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, but beware that there is no salt, pepper, oil, or any other cooking materials/condiments. The washing machine worked great and the bathroom was clean and nice. It was also very quiet, but one huge drawback was the skylight in the bedroom that had no cover! This means that at 6 AM the sun shines right on your face and there s no escape. This was the only negative point to the apartment, but it can be remedied by putting a pillow over your face in the morning. The apt is a 5-10 min walk to the nearest subway and is in a safe area. Note that when you arrive and you give your credit card for the deposit they will actually put a charge of 150 euros on the card, not just a check that the funds are available, which I thought was excessive, but as long as the money is refunded there s really no problem. I would definitely stay there again!

They are also extremely well located-- the neighborhood has everything one would need: restaurants, grocery stores, metro station, etc. and it was a quiet street. The check-in process was flawless, and our calls or requests during the week (which were few) were immediately responded to. We especially appreciated Lodging in Barcelona arranging a taxi to the airport the day of our departure.
We loved Barcelona and would ABSOLUTELY recommend these apartments and Barcelona Lodging. Rarely have I worked with such a responsive organization.

Anonymous: 03/09/2009; To my surprise, the appartment looked exaclty the same as the pictures we based our decision on, which does not happen very often. It was safe, clean and equipped in a modern way. The kitchen included all necessary dishes and kitchen appliances (even more than needed). The hallway was also kept clean all the time.
As for the service, the employees were always available on the phone and very helpful.
The location of the appartment Sagrada Familia 6 is situated in a very strategic location (2 blocks from teh actual Sagrada Familia) and in walking distance from 2 metro lines as well as to several supermarkets and fruit stores.

We would happily recommend you to use the service of The Lodging Barcelona.

The flat was big enough for 3 persons as long as they do not mind the tight quarters.

Pricing for the unit was competitive with others found online.

Contact persons (Justyna and Alejandro) were very good and always willing to help with any questions or problems that you have.

The ability to park overnight for free (8pm-8am) when renting a car was also a definite plus.

We walked to almost everything, and the metro is only a half block away when needed. Barcenoleta and the beach areas are an easy walk as well - with wonderful seafood restaurants. The area seemed safe, and there are numerous restaurants, cafes, and shops in the immediate vicinity. The apartment itself was comfortable, with a small but extremely complete granite kitchen. Two small balconies with French doors let in light and air. We would definitely stay in this apartment again and recommend it to others.

The only downside of it is that it did not have internet.

Killian who received us was great and we felt very safe within the apartment building. However take notice of the advice to be extra careful with your possessions when out and about. Great weekend!!

: 04/04/2012; I started to work in bcn from january during the week and normally I stay in a hotel, but that week there was a fair and so the hotel had very expensive rate. Additionally my wife, too, had to visit the town to look for a flat to rent for all our family, so your offer was a good alternative to the hotel. Anyway I think that I could recommend your services to my friends and to all the tourists that would like to visit this nice town.

Booking service was excellent, ladies helped me to make booking confirmation as I needed for my visa, I was informed beforehand about possibility of taxi strike that helped me to plan alternative ways of how to get to the apartment. Meeting with owner was in time, the lady was polite, gave us maps, some sightseeing books that we used later and told about special peculiarities of the city. The time spent in Barcelona was the best ever for us and Lodging Barcelona helped us a lot! Thanks to You!!!
